Display options

Here you can select the size of your output display, ether by using a preset from the drop-down list or entering the size manualy.

The next option allows you to set the playback framerate, 25 or 30 FPS (frames per second).

Note: For smooth playback, you must set this to the same frame rate that you your video clips use.

The Position controls allows you to re-position the main output, typically so that is displays on your graphics card's secondary output.

To use a secondary output you need to set up your graphics card to use an 'extended desktop'. You do this in the standard Windows video display properties.

Then use these controls to position VJamm Blueprint's main display window onto the secondary display by setting the horizontal value to the width of your primary display.
eg. If your primary display is 1024x768 then you would set the horizontal offset position to 1024.

When using a secondary display you may also want to have a preview window on your primary. This can be achived by enabling the preview window. Select the size of your Preview window be using the slider.(defaults to half-size)
Misc options

The top panel here allows you to check and download the latest version of VJamm Blueprint.

By default, VJamm Blueprint is set to check for updates each time its started. There is also a reminder of how long since the last check was made.

In the next panel, you can set the location where VJamm Blueprint should look for FreeFrame plug-ins.

This defaults to a plugins directory at the location you installed VJamm Blueprint

In the bottom panel there are some options for setting the default behaviour of the vision mixer.
Midi options

Any midi ports found on your machine are listed in the drop-down control.

If you wish to use midi devices for controlling VJamm Blueprint then select the required device here and make sure to enable midi by ticking the enable check box.

Note: The ability to use multiple midi ports will be available in the near future.
Capture options

Any video capture device(s) found on your machine are listed here.

If you wish to use a capture device as a 'live feed' you need to assign it.

To Assign a device:
  • select a capture device listed
  • press the 'Assign Device' button
  • enter a name for the 'live feed' - although you can enter long names, it is best to keep them short due to space restrictions on the vision mixer
  • select the resolution you wish to capture at, using the drop-down list. The list will only show resolutions which are supported by the assigned capture device.
  • Make sure you have 'enable capture' ticked
Note: Depending on your capture device, using too high a resolution can slow down the frame rate.
